Spectacularly situated in the Swiss Alps and dominated by the majestic Matterhorn, Zermatt has everything to offer in the way of fantastic skiing, picturesque surroundings and a lively nightlife. On arrival by train from the village of Tasch , you will find the vibrant village centre entirely car-free, with only electric taxis, horse drawn sleighs and streets packed with beautiful shops and boutiques.

Zermatt’s three ski areas all rise to at least 3100m (10,200ft) and boast the highest ski lift in Europe – The Klein Matterhorn (Gobba di Rollin) at 3,820 m. The ski run from this station into Zermatt is almost 14 km long and has a vertical drop of 2 200m!

The three ski areas of Zermatt include the Schwarzsee – Klein Matterhorn area, the Gornergrat – Stockhorn area and the Sunnegga – Rothorn area and also include the connected area of Breuil-Cervinia in Italy .
