Its sunny position and incredible views make staying in La Rosière a joy. One sweep of the eye takes in the whole of the Tarentaise Valley.
The village is one of the friendliest of all the Tarentaise resorts and the ski area straddles the borders of France and Italy. It’s snow record is good, the slopes are child-friendly and it’s a wonderful choice for intermediates.
3 lifts and a 7km piste take you over the border and down to La Thuile. There’s a choice of routes, some steep and challenging. Set high above the Upper Tarantaise valley and on the route of the Petit St Bernard Pass (closed in winter) is La Rosière 1850 and the international ski area linking La Thuile in Italy to form the Espace San Bernardo. Enjoy fantastic views of the three major surrounding mountains, Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa before skiing wide open runs, many suitable to all standards of skier. The village is very traditional and very French and has all the ingredients for an excellent family skiing holiday.
