One of the finest ski resorts in Austria, in one of the world’s three top ski areas.

The village is timelessly picturesque in traditional Austrian style, and enjoys a perfect location, tucked away in a high, secluded Alpine valley, with an enviably snow-sure record. Less boisterous than St Anton, whose fantastic ski area it shares (Arlburg), Lech is one of those very special places any keen skier simply must try.

The Arlberg offers varied skiing and unmatched off-piste. Good altitude and heavy snowfalls guarantee snowsure slopes from December to May. The tree-lined runs above the village are excellent for beginners and intermediates. A little higher up there are wonderful wide open off-piste fields.

Cable cars run to the Rufikopf, where easy runs take you to the open slopes of Zurs above the tree-line and perhaps lunch at the rustic Trittalm. An experienced skier may want to explore St Christoph and Stuben, where long off-piste trails, steep black pistes and spectacular long mogul pistes provide some of the best tough skiing in Europe.
